Ms. Naoko Ogawa is Director of Industrial Technology Bureau of Keidanren (Japan Business Federation), a private business organization whose membership includes more than 1,600 major companies in Japan. She has been in charge of promotion of science and technology, innovation and digital economy since 2016, and recently worked on the report “Society 5.0 -- Co-creating the Future” “Digital Transformation – Opening Up the Future through Co-creation of Values” “. The New Growth Strategy” and “Vision for Startup Breakthrough”. She started to work for Keidanren in 1994 and has worked on various issues including international trade & investment, climate change, urban development and recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, as well as promotion of gender diversity. Seconded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she worked in the Permanent Mission of Japan to the International Organizations in Geneva between 2003 and 2006, as a negotiator on Trade in Services in the WTO. Ogawa received her B.A. in international relations from the University of Tokyo.
